He WILL be a musician!

Health Updates

Well I spent yesterday and today at the doctors office! I don't plan to return until Kinsey's 10 month checkup!

First, Kinsey:
She suddenly got really hot yesterday evening while we were out to dinner and Grandma was watching her. Grandma said she just kinda fell over on her arm and fell asleep suddenly. Kinsey is a GREAT baby, but by no means does she just fall asleep in any quick fashion. So I knew she was sick ;( I checked her temp and it was 103. It stayed between 101 and 103 until today around 3. By then I wasn't sure what was going on. I had been putting it off as teething, since she still has NO teeth! Although I do know she is teething.... it was an ear infection. Her first one! Ethan still has not had any. So this is my first one too! She is beyond miserable, and I feel so helpless. She is on her antibiotics and will be better in no time! I just pray her teeth break through soon!!!
And she was 16 lbs 6oz! she gained lb! She goes back in August 7th!

Ethan:

Ethan has been battling constipation for a few months now. He will go 7-10 days between BM and then go 5 times within a couple hours... and then it starts all over again. On the day he does poop, its very heart renching. He cries so hard and it hurts him so bad. His diet is not good and he drinks way too much milk. I have stopped the milk this week, as I had NO idea it could cause Iron defiency! Yesterday he was diagnosed as having Chronic Constipation and Chronic Fatigue. Ethan sleeps 12-14 hours straight at night and takes 1-2 hour nap during the day. And he is still tired all day. He has bags under his eyes and constantly tells me he is tired.

Yesterday he had his blood taken. First we tried at the Dr office. 3 nurses plus Mommy tried to calm him and hold him still to get the needle in. They got it in, but he was sooo strong he could just barely move his elbow so the needle would lose the vein. After trying both arms with no luck they send us over to a lab. I call my In Laws and they say they will be praying things go better at the lab. When we get there and I explain what happened at the dr office to the nurse ..she starts to panic. She calls and asks what is the lowest amt she can get and it be ok. She asks any advice they can give her. I mean, theres just ONE of her!!!

She has me lay down on my back on a cot on the floor. I then have Ethan lay on my chest on his back. She says a quick prayer and then starts to sing to Ethan! She sang Jesus Loves Me! He laid with his arm as still as possible. He cried really hard don't get me wrong! but he didn't move his arm one time. Not once! When it was over I could feel God in the room with us. There was this amazing presence and it was awesome! I am the only person that was in both situations to know the true difference. And maybe it was this woman's approach that made the difference, but no matter what I know God answered our prayers! and the nurse was so humble when I thanked her and she said : " It was GOD!" .....not her that was able to make it happen. She got 6 tubes of blood from Ethan, whereas the other nurses didn't barely get 1/2 of one.

The tests were: Celiac Disease, Iron, Kansas Airborne allergens, and Food allergens. We won't know for possibly a week or two as these tests take some time to send out and get back.

Keep Ethan in your prayers as we try to get him on track! She said the constipation will as long to correct as it did to get him here. So it will be 4-6 months.
