Kinsey Kay!

Kinsey was born September 26, 2008 via csection. She as born at 9:41 am very shortly after surgery started. She weighed 7lbs even and was 20 inches long! The entire surgery was very stress free and a great experience. It was completely different then my surgery with Ethan. I was very impressed!! Recovery is going ok, I am still in quite a bit of pain if I push myself too much. But overall I am doing really well and was released 48 hours after surgery! :)

So far we have managed to avoid being jaundice, but will have her re-checked tomorrow. She is a bit yellow, but I am hoping she is still on the low risk end!

Things are going great though!!! Here are a few pics to enjoy!

Friday is the day!

Here I am at 38.5 weeks

Kinsey will be here Friday around 10am :) I can't wait!!! I should be home Sunday evening, Monday morning at the latest... as long as everything goes well! :)

Yesterday I had my last OB appt. He checked me to make sure I wasn't going on my own.. no such luck. Wasn't dilating or effacing one bit! She was definitely down further though- at a -1 station and ready to come out. But just not doing anything. I was only measuring 36 weeks still and hadn't gained any weight for 2 weeks. So she is just DONE in there. My guess is she is under 7lbs maybe...... 6lbs 13oz and 20 1/2 inches! That's my "guess" we will see if it happens! I wish she were a bit bigger, but she's been small the whole time. Hopefully we will be surprised!

I still am having a lot of anxiety over leaving my baby boy!! So pray I can relax and know he is in good hands. Grandma will be here all day and Daddy will be home for supper or at least bedtime each day. And Mommy will only miss 2 bedtimes, hopefully. I'm just sad to be without him!! He is such a sweet boy, and he has been giving lots of lovies lately. I think he knows :( He'll be ok though! :)

5 days to go!

Friday September 26th at 9:30 am I will be having my csection. Kinsey should be here by 10:00 and we will be in our room by 10:30 :)

We will be at Wesley if anyone wants to come see us!! I'm guessing I will be there until Sunday afternoon or Monday morning :)

I am SO sad to leave Ethan and pray he will do well without Mommy. I have never left him for more then a couple hours or for the evening. Hopefully he and Daddy will do well with bedtime and night awakenings. And Grandma will have lots of fun taking care of Ethan for a few days! I don't plan to have him come see me until Saturday at the earliest... its going to be so hard!! I just keep trying to put it out of my mind... I know when I leave Friday morning I am going to bawl though :( That's my baby! But it will go by fast and when I come home I will have 2 babies!! YAY :)

Tomorrow- Monday is my very last OB appt. We will check to see if I am going to progress any on my own one last time- I don't think ANYTHING is going on down there though.... so we'll see. Check her growth one last time and do the last minute details. Update tomorrow....

14-21 days!

14 days if I go with the csection on September 26th.... and 21 days if I hold out til my due date of October 3rd.

My fluid was up to a 12 today!!! YAY. I was more then surprised. As I have been feeling really crummy and nervous lately. But I was blown away and didn't really know what to think. Kinsey passed her non stress test with flying colors. We watched her take 4 good breaths and move around a bit. She had 2 good sized pockets of fluid, rather then one small one like last week.

I still measure about 2 weeks off this time and only gained 1 lb. So I know for sure she needs a little more time in the oven.

I am so excited! I was really not wanting Kinsey to come early, I really wanted to see if I would progress on my own this time. So next Friday I will have him check for dilation and effacement and then check her fluid again. And make my final decision to wait or to go for the 26th.

Ethan update!

Ethan has had egg allergies for quite some time... and very bad eczema. Well finally his eczema has cleared up on his ankles. I got so excited, because I really haven't done a lot about it here recently. So it resolved on its own, which is WAY better then using steroid cream daily. So then I decided, its time to try eggs again. I took him to an allergist about 6 months ago and he said to wait until Ethan was 2 to try again. Well, he's 21 months... so that's close! haha. But yeah, I gave him a few bites of scrambled eggs. He actually ate them off his own plate with a fork too! And he liked them! :) I was ready with the benedryl and watched him very closely. He didn't get one hive, didn't act itchy or funny at all, and was breathing just fine. YAY! I am so happy. Because so many things... ya know the good stuff.. like cake, cookies, pancakes, ice cream.. it all has eggs. SO its a big step for the WILL home. Yay Ethan :)

2-4 weeks left!

Well, I'm in the final stretch! 29 days to go... and counting! I had my 36 week appt today to check growth and fluid and what not. My fluid has been a bit low for a couple months. Its down to a 7 now, and 5 is bad. So he's just keeping an eye on it. If it goes down in 2 weeks, I'll probably go ahead for the csection and get Miss Kinsey out of there. But we will just be patient and see.

I measure a week small, and Kinsey measure just a day or two small. So not bad. She is about 5lbs 10oz right now, which is good. That is in the 26th percentile. She has definitely dropped and is head down, so hopefully she will start doing something soon!! Just wanted to let you all know how we were doing :) Anywhere from 2-4 weeks left!!! I will have a csection on October 3rd if I make it that long, so I won't be going over :)

We got to see her facing out on the sono and she opened her mouth and was sticking her tongue out to get fluid. It was AMAZING! we hadn't seen that before :) Made it soo real! I said, Can I go get Devan real quick??? So he saved it and I went and got him and Ethan. It was such an awesome moment to share with my boys :) She had given us a scare last night and it just made everything better :) I love her!!

Countdown!!

30 days to go!!!! And this is how I'm feeling. Not much longer though! 36 week appt Friday to check my amniotic fluid, Kinsey's growth, and dilation/effacement.
