26 Weeks!

Had my 26 week check up yesterday. Also had to do the yucky glucose test! Everything went well with both. I had my hubby with me to make sure I felt ok after the test, which I did. The doctor said that the baby was measuring around 24 weeks and I am 26!! So that had me worried, but he assured me it was fine. He said it isn't a very accurate way of measuring the actual baby, its more measuring the uterus. We are both guessing she is way back in there, from her kicks, I said she's very low and towards my back. So hopefully at my next appt she will have moved up and we will be back on target. Other then that I have finally gained 4lbs! I hadn't gained any so far, which also had us a little worried.. but not anymore!

I bought Kinsey a few more clothing items this weekend.. with some help from Daddy and some today during my "mommy needs some alone time." I also finally got her bedding picked out.. which had been very hard for me to do! I am just too picky. Still need to get her bumper but the rest is bought :

Rug, Blanket, Skirt, Sheet, and Appliques for the walls. They are all pink/brown/green :-) I love it!

Long day..

So Ethan did not take a nap today. At all!! We got up around 8 or 8:30 and he just went down at 9:30. He wasn't even fussy, I just thought for sure he had to be worn out by now, and he was! We had a long day too, so hopefully he will sleep well.

We started our day off playing in the backyard with the doggies.
Then we went to Walmart to get some little swimmers for our playdate and a donut and strawberry milk for Kinsey.
Then we went to the eastside to visit Aunt Candace and give her somethings she left at Gma's.

Then we were off to our playdate! We met up with 5 other mothers and 14 other kiddos for some fun in the sun. There was a kiddie pool, a ball spraying water, and another water tube that sprayed water. Ethan loves water so this was exactly what he needed! However, after too much sun, he crawled his way back into the house and went downstairs to play by himself! What a weird kid! After 3 hours, Mommy was exhaused from the sun and chasing Ethan inside/outside in the pool out of the pool. So we headed home.

Then we chased the doggies some more and more and more. Then Mommy tried to make us take a nap.. but after 1 1/2 hours of NOT sleeping Ethan was up to play some more.

He spent the rest of the evening watching Nemo and playing with Daddy. Poor kid, he will be so disappointed tomorrow when Mommy doesn't let him go without a nap! :-)

Setting In...

Well, so far this pregnancy I have been feeling really well. No major symptoms at all! Which has been a total blessing. With Ethan I was sick every single morning for 12 weeks straight!! I lost 15 lbs and slept all day long. It was not fun. This time with Kinsey, I have so much energy and feel so healthy. Well... that was until this week...

This week I have started feeling really exhausted. I just can't seem to get enough sleep. Of course I do have an 18 month old that has a diaper rash and screams 2 times a night after he pees!! and a husband that gets up at 5am and wakes me in the process. And a beagle that takes up more then his share of the bed! Other then that.. I don't know why I am not sleeping... oh yeah, it could also be the hips starting to hurt.

So besides being sleep deprived. I am getting hormonal. I just am soo emotional lately. I am just getting so worn out and don't know what to do with that I guess. I mean there are still things that need to get done, mouths to feed, and groceries to buy. And it will get done, just not as fast as I like them to.

Its starting to become a reality that I am about to be a mother of 2! yikes! two kids... that's so weird to me. I always wanted to be a mother, and I always wanted two children. I just am really starting to be sad that my baby boy (not so much a baby anymore) won't be the only child. He won't get to have his mommy all to himself. I know it will all work out, and other moms have way more then 2 kids. I just am worried about how he will take it. I will be away from him for 2-3 days when I deliver and I don't know how either of us will take it! It will definitely be a trying time. It just makes me really sad to even think about. I don't want having another baby to take away from his time with me. Hopefully it will go smoothly and he won't even care that I was gone! But I will sure miss my boy!

With all that said... I can't wait to meet my daughter!!! I am way excited to have a little girl and for Ethan to have a sister. Life will be so complete for us!

25 weeks!

Kinsey's Room

I painted 2 walls green and 2 walls pink! I love it! I think I may add a couple more coats to the green to get it a little richer, but that's if I get the energy! BTW- that rocker is a Best Rocker and I love it! I had a cheap Walmart glider with an ottaman with Ethan for a couple months and it just killed my back when I was nursing late at night and would fall asleep. I got the rocker and it was sooo much better, and way comfy! I highly recommend making sure you get a good chair!!

I do not have bedding or decor picked out. I am being a little picky, haha. But I did know what color scheme I wanted so, there you go!

So far so good!

Yesterday Ethan took a nap in his new room. Last night he slept all night!! YAY! And he is down right now for another nap. Granted he is in his crib... but hey, one step at a time! I'm just excited to have Kinsey's room empty and ready to paint!

24 weeks!

I can't believe I have completed 6 months already! This pregnancy has really flown by! I have a few clothes ready for Kinsey and of course the crib, carseat, and few misc from Ethan. I need a new mattress, bedding, and clothes though. Just seems like we keep putting it off and before we know it she will be here! I really want to get her room painted and ready before summer is over.

The problem with that??

Ethan!

He is in her room in the baby crib still. We need to get him down to his new room (pictures to come) and into his toddler bed. I have had several suggestions as to what to do about this dilema.. and nothing is really settling with me yet. Option 1: we put the crib downstairs and let him get used to being in the basement. Option 2: move him downstairs into the toddler bed and let him get used to that with the crib not being an option. or Option 3: ignore it and hope it goes away! So far option 3 is what I have been doing. So far it isn't working out. I am a planner, and a bit OCD so I NEED to get Kinsey's room started! I really need to make a decision and get going on it.
I'll post an update when I finally decide what to do!

Cousin Paige

Ethan playing with his cousin's pacifier! He never used one so when he sees them he always has to put them in his mouth! He looked so silly!!

We spent the day with Paige and Uncle Steve and Aunt Candace yesterday. We all had fun! Paige is getting so alert and fun as she gets older. She is 10 weeks now! Big girl :-)

23 weeks

Mommy at 23 weeks with Kinsey! Getting bigger every day, but not quite as big as with Ethan. This little girl seems to be staying low and hiding! Mommy hasn't gained a single pound yet! Baby is taking everything Mommy eats doctor says. She is growing just fine, so no worries! She is measuring right at 23 weeks and is 1 1/2 lbs and 12 inches long :-)

New Blogger!

I thought since all my friends and family are blogging, I better get started!

We are 23 weeks pregnant with our baby girl, Kinsey Kay! She is due October 3rd, but has been measuring around October 6th. That is Daddy's birthday and one day after Gma Watson's so that will be exciting! Ethan turned 18 months on the 3rd of June and is growing very fast! He is 25 lbs now and 32 1/2 inches! He has 12 teeth already and cutting his 13 and 14th.

Our most recent change is our new home in west Wichita! We absolutely love it! It has plenty of space for our growing family and our two dogs. We spent the past couple weeks building our fence, and it looks very nice! Now we are working on getting Ethan's big boy room ready for his move downstairs. Its a sports theme and is taking some time, but Mommy is working hard to get it down quickly.

Well, that's all for now! Our little guy is screaming for bedtime! More tomorrow.
